This month’s home fellowship feature homemade pizza. My husband said, “We need to do this!” (to which I responded, “we used to do this all the time…”). Anyway, that next Friday, we had our own homemade pizza night. I used my mother’s pizza dough recipe (doubled, and made 3 medium sized pizzas).
Dissolve 1 package of yeast in 1/2 cup of warm water. Add 1 1/2 cups flour, 4 tablespoons olive oil, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Mix together until smooth, then knead for five minutes on a heavily floured board. Put the dough in a clean, lightly oiled bowl, covering with a damp cloth, and put in a warm place to rise for an hour. Grease pizza pan with oil. Pat dough down to cover pan and edges. Stick holes in dough with a fork. Toppings as desired. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes.
