Birthday Adventure: Making Tracks to Thomas Land!

When I found out there was a Thomas Land, I knew that had to be added to our European Bucket List. I planned and saved for this trip for almost a year. Worth. Every. Penny. (or pence, since we were in England). We also played for a day in London, which is not nearly enough time, or it isn’t enough time if you also make a trip to Stonehenge. I don’t think I’m going to top this birthday adventure in the near future.
The Changing of the Guard was my favorite part of the London tour. Dietrich liked the Thames River cruise best.
We had beautiful weather for walking around Stonehenge, but once again, not nearly enough time.
For his 6th birthday, we spent the day in the theme park.  I contacted the hotel in advance regarding a birthday cake. The receptionist confirmed with the bakery that they could make an egg free cake. We had the cake served after our dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. The staff were amazing. The restaurant has Thomas train tables (though I didn’t know this in advance to bring our own trains). Our son quickly made friends and shared engines with other Thomas fans! We stayed in a Thomas Themed room… the bunk beds each had a personal TV with DVD player!
